Need help here. I'm using Sony A7iii and can't seem to get the front dial to work and control camera settings like ISO, Aperture, etc. The only thing I can do with it is to roll.

Same with me here .. I thought updating the firmware will solved the issue but it's still same, front dial doesn't work in Sony A7iii

Ah great! Let me try that and see. I assume that cable was included right? Coz I just went straight for the USB C to micro USB cable and kept the rest.

I had the same issue. This sorted it for me if anyone else comes here for the same reason:
1. Update firmware
2. Turn off control with smartphone in camera
3. Change usb mode to PC (otherwise it goes into mass storage mode - or at least mine did)
4. Use USB-C to USB-C cable

Hey,  I have Sony a6500 and rsc2. My focus Dial is not working. What can I do?

Hi there, I’m using a Sony A7iii with my Ronin RS3 and I can’t get the front dial to change my camera settings!

I’ve tried everything!

The Gimbal screen says it is connected but then immediately says that the cable controller disconnected!

Can please someone help, I really need it!

I fixed it with 2 steps:
1. In camera - Turn off Ctrl w/Smartphone
2. Use USB-C to USB-C cable

I have tried all of the below suggestions with my sony a7iv and still cannot get it to work. starting to get really frustrated.

I have a Canon R6 Mark II
The Bluetooth is connected fine.
I mounted the Focus Motor. The dial controls the motor
Just fine. But now it won’t control the Aperature, ISO or Shutter . Not sure what is blocking the dial from working.


I updated the firmware on both the camera and RS3 and have had no luck.

If you going to connect with a c-usb cable TURN OFF Bluetooth on the camera!
there is a "A7M3 + DJI RS 3 Mini Compatibility result" table at DJI support site but I can't put link here, I don't know why.

My focus wasn't working after doing a bunch of stuff. I finally figured it out. I had to switch the MF/AF switch on the Sony GM Lens and then it started working.
