Very impressive captures.    Years back while stationed at NAS Miramar I kayaked at Lake Murray and did some catch and release fishing also.  Beautiful place.

Thanks DowntownRDB.  It is a great place.  I used to walk the perimeter of the lake and it was very enjoyable.  I'm sure you know that NAS Miramar is now MCAS Miramar.

My pleasure!    Yeah, I was stationed at the Pentagon in 1993 when the BRAC decision was made for the Navy to turn it over to the Marines.  I think the Marines didn't officially take it over until late 1997 (if memory serve me right).  Anyway, was a great duty station but there was way too many noise complaint calls to Base Ops on a daily basis.  Those of us stationed there called it the "sound of freedom" but the locals didn't like that one bit.
