Thanks - Im doing lots of research into the next purchase ( I think I have persuaded SHMBO) but the lack of HDR is a downer and no one seems to be able to answer how good the automatic image optimisation is .

I am used to doing AEB-3 captures only. The MP did not have HDR.
So never take single jpegs.
The dynamic range is too low. Even with DNG (plust that requires some corrections that are hard to make without Adobe products)
So I never cared about HDR mode.
Does that make multiple exposures?

HDR mode on the M2P takes three shots and combines them in the drone and then throws away the originals (unfortunatly) I like it as Im lazy.

Ah ok.
That would be useful for quick shots indeed.
Although I like to post process them.

I do too,  but thats not easy to do from the mobile,  not many options for HDR merge on mobile.

Nope.
I never edit my drone photo's via mobile.
Always on my desktop.
Not too convenient for insta though.
