The DJI Pocket 2 is an ideal companion on walks around here. The area is criss-crossed by Green Lanes and countryside paths.
Perfect for stretching the legs and getting a bit of daily exercise whilst staying within the constraints imposed by
Covid regulations currently in force in France.

Im surprised they are not muddier,  the paths like that here are massively churned up at the moment.

A bit further along, there are stables with horses (many of them thoroughbreds)  The Mayenne, where we are, is known as the Horse region of France.  Indeed, the Departmental logo is Pégasse, the winged horse.

A bit of a paradox, since one breed (Percheron) are bred for meat. Very nice it is, too.

Awesome shot.    Interesting fact on the Percheron.  I've eaten bear and buffalo but never horse meat.

It's much leaner than beef. Many French people of my age group were brought up eating no other meat, as it was much cheaper than beef back then.   Not so today, and there are far fewer Bouchers Chevallines ( horse butchers) than in days gone by.
