So I've seen what the Fimi Palm 2 has to offer and, frankly, I'm not impressed.
Here are the important takeaways from the comparison with the DJI Pocket 2:
- FIMI Palm 2 is longer and heavier (the last one by almost 30 grams)
- It has less gimbal range
- Touchscreen is smaller (1.22" vs. 1.3")
- It has a smaller sensor size (1/2.6" vs. 1/1.7")
- Less image resolution (12MP vs. 64MP)
- Less fps at max resolution (30fps vs. 60fps)
- Less zoom (3x vs. 8x)
The only good things about the Fimi Palm 2 is the price (199 vs. 349) and the batter life (300+ minutes vs. 140 minutes). Regarding FOV, Im not particularly thrilled about the 128 degree angle even though some people may like it.
For the price, it's OKAY, but the DJI Pocket 2 just seems to have a whole lot more to offer in terms of specs, functionality, and experience. The latter also seems to have a much larger ecosystem compared to the Palm 2.
In any case, I guess there's a market for the Fimi Palm 2, but I'm disappointed that it's a cheaper and inferior alternative rather than a real competitor.
