Hi guys! It's been a while seen I have written something here. I am coming here after a new experience I had with my Phantom 4 Pro. Almost I month ago I went in this mountain area to take some pictures. When I arrived there was all foggy, beside the cold temperature (-10 I think) but I have made the mistake to decide to fly my drone. As expected after not so long I started to receive on my remote error from the battery, I don't remember exactly what was, but i think that all that moisture was causing the problem. Unfortunately i drone ,remaining without power has lander in the forest and remained up in 40,50 m tree for almost a month. Today i decided to pay it a visit and surprise surprise it had fallen, probably after that wind that was lately. Beside a bend propeller that drone seems intact. Was all cover in snow and ice and i am sure the interior is the same. The battery is still working,i have only checked to see if still has juice. I have given it a external clean up and for now i will let it to dry for a couple of days. My question is, what is the best thing to do, beside sending it for repaid ( i have bought a new one ) .To try with a hair dryer ? I am open for suggestions .

Thanks !

Hello there MeDrone. I am sorry to read and to know what happened to your DJI Phantom 4 Pro. Since this unfortunate incident happened. It would be best to contact out DJI Support Team for further assistance at https://www.dji.com/support?site=brandsite&from=nav . We would do their best to find out the reason of the incident and then the corresponding resolution/fix would be provided. If the said drone is still under the warranty period and it is evaluated as a non-pilot error, the warranty service will be provided. Again, I am sorry for this trouble and thank you for your understanding.

Aloha MeDrone,

Congratulations on getting your P4 back!  For water exposure, it is recommended to buy a bag of uncooked rice.  Fill a pillow case or other cloth bag with some of the uncooked rice (2 or 3 cups) and seal it into an enclosure with the P4 (plastic box or otherwise).  Leave it in there for a week or so depending on your conditions (it looks humid where you are).  Move things around in the box every couple days so that the rice can mix up and can dry the whole P4.  Doing this rice trick usually helps and can certainly not hurt.  The cloth bag or pillow case keeps the rice dust and rice out of the P4 but sucks up the humidity.  You can even cook the rice when you are done!

Hope this helps!  Take care and be safe!

Aloha and Drone On!
