On the 17th of Januari 2021 I woke up early to try and capture the (which I thought was going to be the only) snow of winter 20-21 in Heerde.  Turned out it was quite warm and the snow from that night was melting like crazy. Plus it was super foggy. But I went for a short flight anyway.

It was not that difficult.
M2 behaved perfectly.
Although I stayed close to the home point to ensure I got top connection.

I applied a little trick to make it more smooth. I slowed it down just a tad (25 fps to 24 fps)

Just had to accept it and fly close to the home point.

It does magic sometimes. But only when there is not too much moving stuff in the frame that appears unnatural. (walking people for example)
Expect if you really want that slow feeling of course.

You need to make sure it is just a tad. And set the project to the same framerate. Otherwise it will skip frames.

I wanted to cut a few frames of footage and kinda of freeze on it a bit but it turned out horrible do I dropped the idea.

I get what you mean.
You should be able to freeze, but you need rampings (slowing down instead of abrupt and the other way around)
But it is more advanced editing and quite hard to get right in my opinion.
(or maybe I just lack the skills )

I just found out that I was doing it wrong,  I was trying to do it manually a bit like you describe,  but there is a feature called "add freeze frame" that does the hardwork for you.  I will have to try that out.
