I am an Apple Beta Testor. Last night I put IOS 9 Public Beta on a few of my IOS devices. On those devices, DJI Pilot will not download. The app store states the application is not compatible with the device. I have a separate device for my Phantom 3 so it is not a problem for me, but just a warning to anyone upgrading to IOS 9 Public Beta, you probably will no longer be able to use that device for Pilot.
I was able to launch the App on my upgraded iPad mini that had the app already installed prior to the beta 9 upgrade. I immediately noticed that I would lose signal to the phantom and video feed was laggy. I downgraded to 8.4 last night as a result.
Remember, iOS 9 is still in Beta - so you can't really complain until the final release is out, but thanks for the warning.
Is it just the pilot app? If so, have you considered contacting Apple? I would recommend you do this - it could save a lot of time after the final release is out!!!
I was able to launch the app on my iPad mini that I upgraded the iOS version nine however the app was very leggy and choppy lost signal right away so I had to downgrade to 8.4 last night.
iOS 9 Beta Build 5 also fails to connect. So at this point (being that we are now in Beta 5) I can only hope that DJI has this on their TODO list. Don't abandon the P2V+ community just because the P3 is out now. I would expect that in maybe 4 years but not now.
