The present building was erected by Colleoni around 1460 perhaps on the site of a previous oratory, of which the apse of the right chapel is preserved. It is a typical church with a single nave in Gothic-Lombard style with an exposed roof supported by two transversal pointed arches. In the middle of each side wall there is a chapel with an altar.
In the XVIII century it was transformed in baroque style and the present facade with a small prothyrum was added. In the same period the bell tower was modified and raised.
