My first flights after getting the DJI FPV drone yesterday. I am no fpv pilot so I first flew in normal and sport mode. That works nicely (and is no real fpv - I know). Will have to train on the simulator before risking the beast in manual mode. Still a lot of fun already - except trying to find a spotter... Found one for the same spot in the afternoon golden hour!

Amazing Flying. The motion controller is pure temptation for me. I wanna buy it just because of that.

Ordered the motion controller as well but it's not there yet. DOn't know if it's more than a toy. We'll see.

Depp,   Im surprised you got it.  but it does look really cool.    How are you getting on with the simulator in M mode?

I ordered it at Amazon (DJI's return policy doesn't abide with European/German law) 10 minutes after launch and got it two days later. After charging the batteries and updating the firmware it was raining and dark...
The M mode in the simulator is crazy hard for me. It's okay to fly forwards and maybe even low to the ground but to do anything precisely or cinematically or stopping/slowing without using the stop button is beyond me - so far. Will have to put in many more hours.
Also, I almost got sick using the sim with the goggles. Fortunately you can use the phone screen.

Have you tried M mode on the drone yet,  I’m curious how close the sim is to real flying.   It’s a shame you can’t use a Mavic controller with sim too for a more try before you buy approach.

No, I haven't. I might when I'm really high up. But I guess I'm not there yet.
Yes, that's a shame. And annoying that you need to have the googles turned on when using the sim even though I don't wear it then.

No. I actually ordered the mini2 on Friday to take advantage of the EASA loophole.   I’m using the sim in phone mode only. Just a shame I couldn’t use the Mavic controller in that mode to practise.
