This topic has probably been beaten to death already. But I have a couple of questions about video settings:
Did some video shooting with my P3P yesterday. Bright sunny day, so I used ND8 filter. Shutter at 60, ISO 100, 1080 video in 30 fps. Used Sony Vegas to render it. I got a bit choppy video at times, not much, but enough to notice. So should I go with 60fps? Will that give me smoother video? Any suggestions are welcome.

Yes, I'm kind of exploring / learning the video stuff myself, but when you changed the above settings... did you view the histogram for video to see what your EV was at? If your EV was still showing +1 or more stops maybe your ND wasn't enough. In traditional photo stuff, you'd be using the filter to get your EV showing at closest to 0 while tuning in your video settings in manual with your phantom turned on.
