Hi,

I've a problem with my mini 2 since Christmas in that it won't download any aircraft firwmare updates. It just says 'your firmware is up to date' but shows 'N/A' against the current version. See the attached screenshot from my Android Google Pixel phone.

I know it's not the latest version because the ability to 'zoom in' when taking photos isn't available.

As a DJI representative suggested I tried using a friends phone (Huawei) but that hasn't solve it either.

Please help someone.

Did you try to update your controller first, using the DJI Assist on a pc?
The drone can't be updated using that tool, unfortunatly.

Yes John. I did exactly that. Using the assistant to update the controller and it did successfully.
As you say plugging the aircraft into the assistant doesn't allow you to upgrade the firmware. Why not for goodness sake?

Hate to dig up an old thread but this just happened to me, have not flown for a while due to the Pandemic but want to do some practice before the Mini 3 arrives. Controller Firmware updated fine  but Aircraft Firmware is showing NA and check for update timed out error, Has anyone been able to solve this?

Have you edited the DJI Assistant ini file to allow firmware updates?
Open "Program Files x86" in Windows.
Open "DJI Assistant".
Open "Default settings.
Change "Upgrade Enable" from 0 to 1.

[support]
list=wm161
[wm161]
upgrade_enable=1

Right click DJI Products folder and allow Full Control in the Security tab.

Open DJI Fly...wait a few second and then you will see the firmware updates available.

Done

The next time you open the Fly App it will then prompt you that a newer (newest) firmware version is available.
Install the current firmware version if you'd like.

DJI replaced the drone shortly after my post. No problems since.
