When you are using the wireless mic can you also record from the mics on the Pocket 2 at the same time or ONLY from the wireless mic?

Only.  It switches over automatically.

What about if you lose connectivity or the battery dies, does it automatically switch back or do just get silence?

Hello there k_hargy. Good day and thank you for the inquiry about the wireless mic for the DJI Pocket 2. As posted above on post #2 when connecting the wireless mic on the DJI Pocket 2 the wireless mic will witches over automatically. Thank you.

Hands up anyone who wants to go on a long walk with their mic to discover?  I would expect that the audio source would revert to the internal mics after some kind of time-out delay.  Only an experiment would prove the point.  But I wouldn't expect the shot to be usable other than for fun.
