A misty day today, but managed to get a flight in with the M2Zoom. Passed the 2 million DJI feet mark.

Thanks Depp   Yes, the weather was not particularly favourable. I had high wind warnings, and it was quite misty too - a bit further on I flew into a low bank of mist which blinded the video feed, so I had to double back.  At least the rain held off.

Thanks. I was hoping for sunnier weather but the mist persisted all day.
Well, I've had four DJI drones over the last four years, and it's a combination of flights using all of those. But I also use Litchi extensively for programmed Waypoints missions, and I've probably done double that using Litchi.

Its a real shame the SDK doesn't clock up the mileage as well.

I enjoy pre-planning missions in GoogleEarth then uploading them to Litchi mission hub.  Then I can sit back and enjoy the view whilst the computer program flies the drone. Then, if a shot or a view isn't quite right I can tweak it and do the same mission again.

Do you find the repeatability good,  this is something Id like to get into.

Yes, once you've programmed and tweaked a mission to your satisfaction, and uploaded it to your Mission Hub, it's repeatable as many times as you'd like.  Maybe weather conditions (wind) might displace the track a few inches here or there, but the drone will faithfully follow the programmed instructions for speed, height, direction, camera angle, POV - anything you can think of.  I highly recommend it. Best £25 I ever spent.

Thanks QQ.  It's been quite good weather here for a while now. Yesterday was misty and damp, but calm enough to fly.

Congrats on surpassing 2 million flying feet Blériot.   The castle's gardens are amazing.

I've had a couple of people PM me asking why I'd only flown 525 feet.  So then I have to explain to them that I have chosen to not sync my flight data.  However, I can tell you that I have flown less than half the distance that you have with my DJI drones.  When I had the Skydio 1 I logged lots of feet filming motorcycle races, enduros and TTs.  Lately, I have been more into scuba diving, but still make time to fly drones.

It's a milestone, of course. But I reckon I've got a few more in me yet   It's a curious measurement for DJI to have chosen, in my view. Metres would be more logical,  Ok on your extensive experience with another manufacturer's model. And I understand your choice not to sync your data. Maybe we'll see some new stuff from you posted here soon. Would be good.

There are robot mowers available here (probably everywhere) guided by buried wires in the grass. Even programmable to return autonomously to the recharging hub when needed.

Hi Monty. Thanks. The gardens are immaculate, and I guess the living quarters must be too. But much of the building badly needs maintenance. And some of the outbuildings are derelict and being demolished.

Tonight the roof got insulated and received its vapor barrier.
