im having trouble with one of our mini 2s

• startup with device attached
• press go fly
• aircraft module firmware issue
• Incompatible firmware version. Go to profile > settings to update firmware (Code: 30224)
• aircraft firmware 01.02.0300 check for updates
• your firmware up to date
  

so Ive brought it home to connect to dji assistant
Ive downloaded the latest correct assistant 2 (consumer drone series)
Connected the controller and refreshed firmware no issues.
The aircraft will not connect to assitant. Ive tried various leads (even though the leads worked fine with the controller)
there is no sd card in the mavic (although i did try all of the above steps with an sd card installed, just to check)

Im not sure what else to do. Any suggestions?

the assistent doesn't support (officially) to install firmware on the Mini 2.  Check https://forum.dji.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=241098
To connect the drone, startup the assistent, power up the mini 2 and as last plug the usb connector to your pc. If the usb port doesn't allow connection, try another port or try using a usb hub. Some types usb ports  produce some problems. In the worst case, try another pc.

Also check that you installed the latests 1.4.0 Fly app from the DJI website. https://www.dji.com/mini-2/downloads
If you are using android, the version on the play store is an old version, not compatible with the newer firmware.
