Hello,
I would like to buy an SD card for DJI Pocket 2, but I'm not sure about how big it should be. I am planning to shoot up to 90 minute videos. How big would one hour of footage be? (as long as the battery lasts for 90 minutes, I'm not sure)
Thank you

Hi, djiuser_XdxvCcP1zLkf. Thanks for reaching out! The size of the video would vary depending on the resolution you're shooting. If you're planning to purchase a microSD card for your DJI Pocket 2, we suggest checking this list.

Depends on what resolution you will shoot at.  I use a 256 GB SD Card to make sure I don't run out of space during a shoot.

Yeah I know. But what I don't know is how much would 1 hour of 4k shot be. Is it 2 GB? 200 GB? In the first case it wouldn't make sense to buy anything above 16 GB. In the second, I'd need 256 for sure.

Latest firmware made all Kingston Cards unusable. It is weird because my tests shows that cards are even faster than recommended list. That list is just copy paste from Osmo Pocket from 2019.

Anyways you need 128 or 256 to get more than 2 hours of 4k.

This card is not recommended because it is newer than listed one. I would like to DJI confirm will it work? https://www.amazon.de/SanDisk-mi ... ance/dp/B07G3H5RBT/

So uh.... how big is one hour of 4k footage, ballpark? Does anyone even know?

64gb is something about 1,5 hours of 4k. It depends because it is variable bitrate.

But I think this helps you.

I use 128GB on all my cameras just to be sure I have enough space, but 64GB is minimum I would go for.

From my experience you would need at least a 128 GB SD card to shoot 1 hour of 4K.  Again, I err on the high side and always use a 256 GB card.

Different video settings eats more space or less space. That's why it is hard to say but for "normal user" I would say that.

I strongly recommend to get 128 or 256, U3 card and test how it works for continuous recording.

Pocket 1 and 2 splits files in to 4Gb files.

Personally bought one of those Samsung Evon Plus 256GB cards. Seems to work fine and dandy, and no need to worry about running out of space too soon. Though I have to say I usually shoot at 1080p, but probably won't run out of memory immediately in 4K either.
