W have our quota of sharks in the sea but normally they prefer warmer oceans and lately the climate seems to have altered somewhat so they are here.
Up towards the Durban coast they have shark nets, but here not.
In the False bay area is seal island where there is a number of great whites that feed on the seals.
Their modus operandi is to lurk deep on the bottom then shoot straight up for a mouthful of seal.
There are other similar place along the coast where they have cage diving with sharks (on the outside of the cage usually).

I recently took this pic of some sharks waiting for the meals on wheels aka surfers at Dapat se Gat.

Thats brilliant,   you should have tried to go lower.
