Flying over water results in wrong EXIF GPS(barometric in reality) altitude shows 6000 meters instead of 20 as for other pictures. Is it a known issue?

Relative altitude higher than absolute very realistic.

Something else isn't right with your numbers.
GPS altitude should be the same as Absolute altitude
It's an approximate height above sea level
Relative altitude is the height above the launch point, that you see on your flying screen.
Post an original jpg file and I'll look into it.

This issue is only with images which are over water(DJI_0762) other look correct(DJI_0755).
The water confuses VPS but didn't know that it uses VPS for altitude reference in photos. Seems like a bug.

Water/no water shouldn't make any difference.
I'm still wondering why the numbers you showed the same for GPS Altitude and Relative Altitude when they should be very different.
Can you post an original jpg so I can check to see what's going on?

Can't share sorry it is from private property.

Comparing tags from Mavic 2 Pro with Mavic Air it seems M2P uses absolute barometric altitude as GPS altitude but MA uses relative altitude for GPS.

Shouldn't but it does. All photos 1-2m over water have this issue.

What difference does that make?

DJI drones and the exif data from their cameras, show the screen altitude as relative altitude (relative to launch point)
They show a rough altitude above sea level as GPS or Absolute altitude.

If you could post original images I could look into it and work output what's going on.

GDPR type of difference, these photos were not meant for publishing.
I have post everything you need there is nothing wrong with these photos only the wrong GPS altitude above water surface.

Apperantly not in this case. Also absolute altitude is calculated from barometric pressure using reference atmospheric model. GPS altitude is not used as non survey grade GNSS elevation is unrealible.

Try for yourself if you have Mavic Air.

I've told you three times what I'd need to look into this.
I cannot understand the problem posting a couple of photos, because there is no issue posting a couple of photos.
Your objection is just ridiculous.

There is nothing wrong with these photos only the wrong GPS altitude above water surface.
There appears to be something wrong with the metadata that's attached to the images and that's what I want to investigate.
You don't seem interested in solving the issue.

If I had a Mavic Air, I would.

There really are some dropkicks on this forum.
Who are the three idiots who felt it was important to downvote this?
