I am attempting to connect my DJI AIR 2s controller to my iPad Pro 4th gen 12.9” as my viewing screen while flying.
I have my account signed onto my iPad along with flight history/data etc…
I follow the same steps as I would with my iPhone yet I can’t get the remote to connect to the aircraft.. my iPad pings as it recognises a connection but it says ‘not charging’.
To my knowledge DJI have stated it is compatible…help me please…viewing on this iPad will be amazing but all I can see is a mountain
Hello,Hawkster9. The controller is designed not to be able to charge the iPad, it is normal that iPad is not being charged when you connect the iPad with controller. Then, I wonder that whether it enabled you to use the App properly when you connected the iPad with controller? Finally, If you can not control the drone, please refer to the tutorial video and relink the controller.

Hi, just wanted to see if you have an updated solution on this as I’m having the exact same issue. I’m using a connect Thor usb c cable and isn’t working. (Have also tried apple usb c cable)

Hi yea the cable needs to be a Data cable. The apples one is just to charge. Get a good quality data usb c and it works
You want a data cable that is rugged and MADE for DJI controllers like this one. They have the same connector design as DJI, so they fit correctly and snugly into the controller. I use the USB-C to Lightning with no problem even with an inferior tablet and it works great. You will not regret this purchase it is inexpensive and a great cable as you can see from the pictures.

I bought this exact cable but the app still isn't working for me. The device I have is the iPad Pro 2020 12.9" 4th gen. I am really not sure what I am doing wrong have any of you gotten the app to work with the drone with the same type of device I have.
