So DJI is gonna be releasing a "new" Pocket 2 this time in what they're calling Sunset White. Not sure who their target market is but I'm guessing that it's primarily women. Still,, this new Pocket 2 looks classy as heck but I hope it doesn't stain easily. Not sure about any changes/improvements in specs though but there probably aren't any.

They have Time for color but not for firmware

I hope it is released with the all mighty all fixing new firmware and that white Lilliput SnowPerson Cyclope gets that out of the box.

I also hope that these forums are considered as "customer feedback" since never seen anything about color here ;) And I hope it won't include CPU v2.1 fixing all the problems dropping Blacks out of the snowy mountains..

A lot of hoping.. This release also means that Pocket 3 is coming 2022 or near 2023.
edit: MIMO was updated silently to 1.5.18. As Android users have to uninstall and download it from the dji website.

For existing owners of P2, we seriously do hope a new firmware will be released with the new White P2. Otherwise, new buyers will look at this forum and will noticed the P2 is faulty as is.

Strategy wise, would had been better to release firmware first, get rave reviews, giving new buyers confidence to get the White P2.

If there is no further firmware and a buyer is still happy with the P2 existing faults and on a budget, wouldn't it be better to buy a good 2nd hand P2 over the White? It'll be cheaper, right? In Australia, a new P2 Creative combo is just under $800. That to me is alot of money...

I am not an expert on marketing strategies, but I can tell that I will not buy any possible Pocket 3.
How can I trust DJI after Pocket 2?

There was never any survey on colours on this forum that I have ever seen. Smells fishy.

Much as some people here have issues with the Pocket 2, if you look on YouTube you can hardly move for videos which have been shot using it, in which nobody complains about it.  I'm not saying that it's perfect but overall, there is no better gimbal camera on the market.  (Of course one person's "overall" might be different from another person.)

So it seems that white has the same FaceTrack 0.3.

No firmware for holidays.
