discontinuation of the drone hobby


Because it is not possible in Belgium to obtain a license in self-study and because of the bad applications and communication with the authorities, I have decided to stop it completely.

In theorie it looks so good. In practice it really sucks.

Flying in a city like Brugge, Gent, Hasselt, ... really sucks.
According to the regulations you can fly there. But they don't like you there.
Residents quickly call the police and come out with a violation of privacy.
It happens more and more now that you don't want to fly at all.
With some luck you don't have to pay a fine
Because the police don't even know the rules and apply the rules they know.
Such as Violation of privacy or flying over private land without permission
...
they'll find something to get you

That's why I'm stopping.
Even if you follow the rules

This is some sick law, a sick country that allows such restrictions. This is supposed to be freedom?

hell its getting just as bad with the unconstitutional mandates from the faa here. Its absurd. Worse yet is that property owners are told they have zero rights which isnt right either. Then you have drone pilots advocating for more faa interference. Its getting ridiculous.
