Can the Mini 2 fly without a GPS signal?

It does. The only problem is, you can't get it over a height of 3m.

Got that often at my location. Have fly couple of meters from the house in the open field and wait till it updates RTH. Only then I can fly up.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. The DJI Mini 2 can fly without a GPS signal, however, the safety feature of the DJI Mini 2 will enable and limits the height to 5 meters for safety purposes. Also, the interference from other sources might trigger the drone to move uncontrollably. In addition, the Vision System of the DJI Mini 2 allows the aircraft to hover at low altitudes ( 0.5 to 10 m ), but the ground must have distinct textures, and there needs to be sufficient lighting. Does it automatically take off, or do you have to disable something?

you cannot disable GPS, it is always ON for receiving!

Theres a hack where you cut a square of soda can and tape it to the top of the drone to disable GPS,  take a look on YouTube there are many examples of how to do that.

Each DJI drone has a GPS receiver inside ... that's it.
Did you really need to ask that?

As you don't have a drone, perhaps downloading a DJI drone manual and watching some tutorial videos might answer some of your questions
