I want to bring this drone on the job site and show clients footage.  Im wanting to fly this as more of a basic drone with the iphone display but without the goggles being around.  I wondering if this is even possible. Just not wanting to have bulky goggles on while im speaking to customers.

You can hook up the phone to the goggles and see what the camera sees. But no additional info. It worked for me in N and S modes but in M mode I crashed after a few seconds.

You would need the goggles anyway to hook up the phone,
There is also an app released for Android, phones/tablets so you could show your clients on a bigger screen. Its not a official app though but does not need any tweaks, just plug it in.
