Spotted this bird as I was flying around, approached very slowly, zoomed in, circled around, took several photos and videos.  It never moved!

jep, it is a Heron, we have lots of them here in Denmark.

I was worried about that, and spent a lot of time just hovering and inching closer...

Here in California, in the states, we have one that lives by the Model Aircraft field, and hunts Gophers - almost every morning.  The models don't bother it a bit, also with resident Hawk, that sometimes steals the Heron's Gopher.

That is a Great Blue heron, many where I live in Florida. They don't normally attack anything but small fish ;-) A couple of them often watch me fly my drones while they stand on my docks.
