I haven't been able to fly much the last several months.
2021 was supposed to be a good year. On March 27th, I married my beautiful Bride Dana.
Almost a month later, while I was at work, I wasn't feeling weel and felt this constant thumping in my chest. I thought I was having a heart attack or something. My wife takes me to the emergency room and they hook me up to a couple machines and did tests. My blood pressure was through the roof and I was suffering from atrial fibrilation (my heart was beating out of whack). They get me calmed down, give me meds and send me on my way with instructions to follow up with my doctor in a few days.
Everything starts to get back to normal and things were looking promising for my step-son. He starts his first job at Starbucks and was really enjoying it. He had all kinds of plans. Saving up money to buy his first car was his number one goal. Three weeks after he started his job, he passed away at the too young age of 19. It was a major blow to us and since he was an only child, my wife has been having a very hard time handling his death, they were very close and before I came into the picture, it was just the two of them. The last three + months have been very tough for us.
I was able to get out and fly a couple of times and slowing trying to get back into the hobby.
I sure hope the rest of this year and 2022 is a much better year. My wife and I still have a long way to go before we start to feel any semblence of a return to a normal life.
