I get this message when I try to read a forum thread:
"Sorry, this post requires read permissions higher than 100 to browse"


What the heck does that mean, and how do I find out what my read permissions are?  How do I "elevate" my permissions?

I don't know the numbers and I haven't seen anything like that for reading posts, but you "elevate" your status by posting and answering. Now you're lvl.4...

When you create a thread there are permissions you can set to limit who can see it,  some levels cannot be acheived like moderator only.   I wouldn't worry abut it,  doesn't happen very often.
