Hi, I tried to ask this from DJI support but I think that they didn't really get my question and answers were quite stranges.

Do anybody know that is it possible to get clean video feed from DJI RC Pro remote controllers HDMI output? I'm meaning picture without DJI fly apps on-screen data and graphics.

DJI support said no, but said also that they don't recommend different controllers so I think that there was somekind misunderstoodment.

We have use Mavic 2 with Smart Controller for sport tv-broadcasting (like crosscountry sking) and Mavic 3 Cine is having many good updates for our use if it can output clean video feed from HDMI output.

I think if you just swipe up it clears the telemetry. That should remove it but pilot might have a problem unless drone is close .

Did you try to change the HDMI output settings from the RC Pro directly like you can do with the smartcontroller from duplicate to camera view?

I've checked and yep only resolution is available, this is not ok for broadcast and render the M3 totally useless for this. An other bad point for DJI here.

Bump - this needs to be something which DJI adds to the RC Settings. The Mavic 2 currently has more features than the M3...

I just purchased the DJI RC Pro + Air 2S bundle from B&H (Yes the RC Pro, not the Smart Controller). I can NOT get the HDMI out to work with the fat shark goggles. I never had any issues using hdmi goggles with the original SC. The HDMI output (mini) on the RC Pro simply does not work... unless I am missing something? In the original SC you could swipe down to toggle hdmi on/off. That is no longer an option in the RC Pro. Also theres not much under Settings > Display > HDMI (just one resolution option).

I am so confused. Why have an HDMI port if it has no purpose???

Other than a cluttered screen (mirrors what is on the Pro RC's screen... It works..
It has to detected you have a HDMI device connected.
From there, you can only adjust the resolution and fps: In the setting screen...

It's not possible. I've just test that

I concure i just tested it also, you have the option to select the output resolution, 720 and higher. No clean feed available, and swipe options are a no go (doesnt work as suggested). This controller cannot be used for any live switched broadcasting type situation. The old smart controller had the option for camera view or controller screen view and that has been removed. This is sad, i had high hopes for the new controller but its junk if i cant give my client what they need. Add to that its only compa5able with the air2s and 3. The old controller worked with many of them.

I really don't understand what the hdmi output is for if nothing can be done. There is no point in buying the RCPro, they should fix this right away!

For me as well this clean HDMI out is a make or break situation. Live broadcast work is absolutely impossible with the Mavic 3 Cine and the RC Pro if DJI doesn't fix this. Already thinking about returning my M3 Cine because of this.

Hopefully in a future update. This is not only a deal breaker for using the Mavic 3 for live events but also not professional to use on set when outputting to a director's monitor. Nobody else wants/should see what the pilot sees.

So if you buy the M3Cine and want the image on a larger screen you just can't? Stuck with that tiny RC Pro screen? Bummer.

To get clean HDMI Out on the RC-Pro, click the ellipsis icon in the upper right corner of the DJI Fly app, accessing Settings. Select the TRANSMISSION tab, then under HDMI OUTPUT, select  LIVEVIEW ONLY.

I tried the method above but when I got to the TRANSMISSION tab I didn't have HDMI OUTPUT, as shown below.  I'm flying the AIR 2S with the RC PRO.  Just ran a firmware update.  Like everyone else on this board, I don't see the HDMI output as useful at all without being able to remove the OSD

I may not understand the issue, but I've been using the RC Pro w/Mavic 3 for 3 months now, broadcasting to live TV.  If you plug in an HDMI cable then go to Transmission and select Liveview, you will get a clean screen output.

Hello, I have bought the mavic 3 cinema, and what is my surprise, that the clean video output through the Hdmi is only at 60P, it is of vital importance to be able to have an output in 25P 50P 50i, to be able to work without problems, of course if they want to sell more mavic 3 cinema
Thank you

You can change it. Swipe down from top of screen that you find "nut" symbol where you access to preference of controller. In display menu you can find HDMI output. When HDMI is plugged in, you should see HDMI resolution option in menu. There you can change to 25p or 50p. No interlaced options. I'm using Blackmagic design Updowncross converter to change 50p to 50i which works seemlesly with other 50i camera feeds.

Hello, thank you very much, I did not know it, it has been very helpful, even so, it would still be necessary to solve the video in 50i, very grateful for the clarification

I make conversion with Blackmagic Updown Crossconverter, its not app. You can find it from this website: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/miniconverters

Conversion ain't best quality. It makes few drops sometimes. I have changed to use teranex av converter.
