I finally figured out how to attach mics with a 3.5mm jack to the DJI Action 2.  I hope this helps.  Enjoy!

Any android TRRS adapter works :-)   I used a TRS analog mic with a TRRS to TRS adapter works great.

The issue now is finding an adapter that works to charge the camera at the same time.  I tried 2 already and they don't charge and record at the same time only one or the other and the charge takes precedence.

Yes, I tried many adapter too!!!  I tried the GoPro audio adapter, Cynova adapter, USB-C hub with multiple ports, etc.  I haven't found any pass through power solution unless you plug a battery bank directly into the camera's USB-C port.

You're welcome!  I've been waiting for the Action 2 for a long time.  Solve many of my problems, but also created a couple of problems for me too.  I'll post more about requested features that can probably be done with firmware updates.  Wait for those videos.

Can you send me a photo or video of what you're attaching?  I'm having a hard time seeing in my head what you're talking about.  Why are yo using TRRS headphone?  I'm obviously missing/misunderstanding something here.

No one has found a solution at all.  It's sad that we can't figure this out by now.
