I have had issues with the side obstacle avoidance not working on the Air 2s when using tracking mode.  It seems like it is overloaded while tracking and just doesn't avoid anything when flying sideways.  I have had it crash into a tree while tracking and a literal mountain.   While doing a circle and tracking myself at a stationary point the drone flew itself sideways right into a mountain.  No thin branches, solid rock.  Luckily I saw it at the last moment as it hit and pushed the controls to climb and amazingly it recovered.  Otherwise I had a 3-4 hour climb ahead of me.  I have also had it fly into a tree when flying sideways and tracking.  I am nervous to use it in tracking mode now and that is the main reason I purchased it.  Is there any fix for this?

The A2S does not have any side OA.
If you really need such a functionallity you need to invest into an Mavic 3.

Well that sucks, missed that part when seeing the reviews.   Most of the flight paths having it flying sideways in the circle, orbit etc along with tracking and parallel.

The "fix" for this is simple. Be aware of your surroundings!!!

this drone has no side sensors..... buy mavic 3

Yes, cash in you 401k retirement plan and get the mavic 3 for a small bit more of functionality and camera.
