Inspired by monsieur Blériot53's posts, I remembered that our city Sastamala also has a kind of a totem near the central of the city. While it is not an owl but a swan, I thought people could find it intriquing :-)

That's terrific, thanks for the share.  I spotted a HARE by a roadside gate yesterday, but nowhere to park. I shall have to walk to it next time.  It's about 3metres tall.

The road is too dangerous to walk along, and getting parked is tricky. But a suitable moment will occur eventually.

There is a suitable take off point not far away, from which I could deploy the M2Z for a zoomed shot.

I'm sure your weather is not ideal this time of year for flying.  I'm a bit spoiled with the amazing weather here in Florida.  On the flip side though is we only get 2 seasons (Spring and Summer) it seems.

OK OK Don't rub it in

Ooops, sorry.  Was not trying to rub it in.  During my long Naval career I was stationed in many, many places so I've definitely experienced the worst and now the best weather.  Seems like every time I switched duty stations they would send me for a cold place to a hot place and then back to an even colder place.  

Very beautiful carving.
