Till now i just unfold the full drone and switch on to transfer videos. can i just transfer without unfolding and with safety strap on ?

Yes you can. But remove the gimbal protector, as it goes through gimbal calibration when you first start it.

In addition to the above, do not have the drone sitting on anything whilst the props are doing their twitch thing (if the the M3 does that).
Do folded arms block ventilation slots?

I don't have an M3 but if I intend to have a drone switched on for a while and not flying I raise it, using books etc. under the undercarriage, and direct the output of a fan at the drone. It may not be necessary but it wont do any harm.

Just pop the SD card, put it in a USB adaptor and put that in your computer.
That will be faster and less complicated to using a cable and powering up the drone.

I have the cine version in which the SSD integrated.

Sorry to forget to add . It's a cine version where the SSD is integrated.

Sorry about that.
The cine version is a disaster of poor design.

Unless you really need ProRes, shooting  H265 and saving to an SD card would be a much better solution.

Just as matter of interest would it have been possible to make the Cine's SSD removable or 'powerable' by USB without powering up the drone?

No ... it's not

I would not leave a drone folded with power on for more than a few minutes because of ventilation issues. The M3 has a cooling fan. I assume the file transfer takes longer than that. Also, the M3 doesn't wiggle the props that much at power up and I routinely leave the camera protector on even though I know it fails the self test.
