If it is only one side that is not lighting up., that is defective. There is no way to turn off only one side.

No error messages, there were initially the use of messages of gps calibration and rc that were handled and stopped.

Yeah, that is definitely a manufacturing defect. Hopefully, you will get a replacement expeditiously.
