2 months ago I first experience this. My MA2 didn't descend. While a clear day with no fog or clouds, the aricraft lowering very slow like landing. after 2-3 minutes it starts lowering in proper speed and 100m. above this happen again. While lowering descend speed the gimbal turn the camera to horizontal position like it was landing.
In the next flight the same day, the same thing happen again.
I did a calibration from dji assistant program and I didn't experience this again, till today. Today it stops completely at 200m. altitude and a message appear with something about the ground is not suitable to land.
You have any idea?

Hi,

Best to get help/advice is to upload your flightlog with this issue.
Use this > https://www.phantomhelp.com/LogViewer/Upload/

post the uploaded link on here.

But reading your text ; guess the bottem sensor reads false height, so with stick down it will enter a forcedlanding.
Sensor fault or flying in fog or condens in the sensor or dirt on the sensor...

but log will tell more....

cheers
JJB

I did manage to upload the log file. The issue I can see is that in 1000ft IMU altitude the VPS altitude appears 20ft!!!!!!!!I also see that this started after lost connection with RC.
I post the link....

Hi,

The bottom sensor started earlier to sense some height, see the chart.
To chart green line is the VPS height line.

Started at 6m43 seconds, flying real high (> 340 meter), after descending from 430 meter!
Must be cold at that height this time of the year.....

So possible condensation on the sensor.
Edit ; i see the slow descent, this is beacuse the bottom sensor reads false height, so the drone will slow down on descending.
Because it thinks it getting close to the 'ground'....

cheers

JJB, excellent work as usual!

OP: you can see in the log file the gross differences between altitude sensor measurements. Either something clouding the VPS sensor lens or an intermittent hardware failure.
