Just got a Mini 2, using my Sony Xperia L3, the DJI app randomly pauses and can sometimes stop working. It's generally OK unless you try to use some of the special features, e.g. rocket climb etc then it crashes, the app not the Mini 2

Is there anything I can try on my phone before I look for an alternate phone or tablet.

Hello there Srelliks57. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused and thank you for reaching out. Kindly please try using a different recommended mobile device for the DJI Mini 2 for us to be able to isolate the said issue? Upon checking the said mobile devices ( Sony Xperia L3 ) that you want to use on the DJI Mini 2 and on the DJI Fly application. I am sorry to say that the said mobile devices are not recommended for the said DJI application. DJI would suggest using a recommended mobile device for the DJI Fly application for compatibility and reliability purposes. There is a possibility that the Sony Xperia L3 will be able to work on the DJI Fly application. But however, since it's not yet optimized with the said application we cannot guaranteed if it will work all the time and if it will be able to run all the functions of the DJI Fly application while using it on your DJI Mini 2. For reference I will post a link where in you can check the recommended mobile devices for the DJI Fly application ( https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-fly ). Thank you.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 and it works great with Fly App and gives so much more display space to view than a cellphone.

Thanks, that's good to know, but if i go for a tablet I'll probably go for a smaller 7" one, like the Samsung A7 or similar, be nice to have one that fits in the Mini 2 carry case.

Try to turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi

Just make sure the A7 is compatible with the Fly App.  

Yep, that's the problem, DJIs list is a bit restricted and doesn't really include any Android tablets
