Hello! I would like to ask for the feature to record in vertical 9:16 without needing to rotate my DJI Action 2.
I would like to record video to be posted to mobile platoforms that use vertical format however there are not many mounting options for accessories like a tripod or chest mount that support holding the camera sideways due to the magnetic mount being on the bottom.
Currently the best option is to record 4:3 and crop into 9:16 but this is not ideal. Willing to hear any other suggestions.
I hope this can be added in the future!

You could place your camera into a cage, such as the Tilta cages, and place the magnetic base on the side, and voila - camera held sideways!

Hi I would also want to record in 9:16 or able to have the option to shoot in 9:16 or 16:9 as you can easily do with a insta360 go2 in pro mode.
I don't understand why isn't a thing we already can do as it
Demand only programming in my opinion.
I know there is a workaround but seriously why you pay for a good amounts of money for a good quality camera but cheaper camera like the insta360 go 2 can do no hassle ...

Please add this function.    90% of social media are 9/16 and not 16/9.      Really frustrating to film with camera sodeway and have to rotate the video in a external.program

look at gopro for 90⁰ mounts, use a Alu cage

The DJI Action 2 only supports recording full-frame (4:3) videos, 4k (16:9) videos at 120/100 fps, 1080P videos at 240 fps, 4K slow-motion videos at 4x (120 fps), as well as 1080p slow-motion videos at 8x (240 fps). Currently, the unit does not support 9:16 recording. We will continue to record this feedback and forward it to our relevant team for future consideration. We appreciate your understanding.
