I am wondering about this occasional start-up condition with my RC Pro indicating that it needs calibration. I go through it and it completes fine and works fine. Yet a few days later it comes up with the same condition and again, calibration works and finishes OK.

Anyone else with this issue?

I did notice during the calibration of the left stick, the "down" value is "noisy" which means just keeping it in the center position, I can see the down value randomly change from 0 to -1 and back. The right stick does not do that.

That could actually just be a hardware error...

I know but I am very hesitant to get this RC Pro replaced given the connection horror stories I hear. I have no issues with this one maintaining connections way beyond every controller I used before with my Air2s. So, unless it is getting worse I will wait.

Have you tried spraying a little contact cleaner down into the gimbal?

Confused, are you using the smart controller or the RC Pro? Subject says smart controller.

I tested this on my RC Pro today...
Some movements of the sticks only show "99%" for me, not quite 100...
But I assume that this should not have any meaning in practice!
The "noise" of the values shouldn't really be a problem for practical use.
Of course, it's annoying when you get the message that you should (therefore) calibrate the controller again and again...
Something like this can also change with a different ambient temperature, since the electronic components are of course always temperature-sensitive! But it shouldn't be reported all the time - and I agree with you there...

Never use contakt cleaner!
There are no "mechanical contakts" inside!!!

I have had issues with this today. RcPro controller asking to be recalibrate with blue light on. All control sticks at 100% I had to turn unit off for @15 min then all was good. Will be sending back under warranty. F

I'm interested if others are having the same issue.

I am having the same issues, i’ve owned this since Christmas and I have never had any issues until now. I have never dropped it and I keep it clean so is it the RC pro controller or the software?

I am having similar issues. My RC Pro requires calibration almost every time I use it, often multiple times. It seems like this started with a Firmware update a few months ago. It is very frustration.

Any ideas?
