I'm sure DJI's reasoning for not including waypoints in their apps has been posted elsewhere already.

However, if they are not willing to give their customers the features they want, they should at least make it possible for third party developers to upload waypoint missions directly into the drone, allowing it to complete the "mission" even if the controller & drone become disconnected from one another.

That DJI won't make this feature available is rediculous.

I’m sure DJI is concerned with hobbyists doing stupid things with their Aircraft.  I would hope that they could unlock waypoints and other things to those of us that have our part 107 certificates.

What a person does with their drone is their choice. Being responsible and acting accordingly is always best, but no required. Having a certificate is irrelevant.
