I just had a May Deals email from DJI.

Offers on Actions 2, Mavic 3 and FPV.

No deals on the Mini range... Does this maybe imply that the Mini range will remain the same after the Mini 3 launch? So Mini SE and Mini 2 will remain available?

There's likely to still be stock remaining, of the older models, I'd think. I'm counting on picking up a Mini2 later this year

Blériot53, bear in mind NEW Mavic 2 disappeared when the M3 was launched.

I think they’ll do an apple and drop the mini 2 to separate the product line up more.  

DJI pulled the Mini 2 from their online Amazon store here in the US.  Not sure what that is about but most probably has to do with Mini 3 coming out soon.

I think we'll be OK for a while yet. Thing is,  will the same thing happen as with the Mavic2?  Unavailability of replacement batteries. Not a scenario I relish.

Aren't the Mini, Mini 2 and Mini SE batteries compatible?  If so I think the Mini SE will be around for quite a while so you should be able to get batteries for a couple of years.

Compatible, but not the same.

I may have the details slightly wrong, but if I recall correctly the original Mini batteries are:

A) Lithium Ion rather than Lithium Polymer so can't deliver quite as much power.
B) Heavier so will take a Mini 2 over 250g.
C) Lower capacity so will have a shorter flight time.

You may well be right.  

Not much of a "deal" on the FPV. That's what I paid for mine on Amazon a couple of weeks ago.

The Mini-1 batteries are different. I've heard that you can use the Mini-1 batteries in the -2, but I haven't tried that.

yes i use mini-1 batteries in my mini-2.

I knew the Mini SE was the same as either the Mavic Mi I or the Mini 2, but wasn't sure which.

Amazon.ca still has it and the flymore combo and the base package.

Yeah, I saw where they re-listed it on both Canada and US Amazon sites.  have no idea why it was temporarily removed.
