Since you guys liked my morning test, I decided to give it another try. Granted, shooting Southwest landscapes midday from above does not call for quality outcome.

But the wind started picking up, as forecasted, so I was concerned I may not have another chance, at least today.
So I went out for another short flight.
This time, for some reason, it took longer to get GPS lock, but it was done in 2-3 min.
Several times during the flight the drone complained about strong winds (and for a very good reason), but we managed to pull it through.
Below are a couple of frames from my midday outing, which I called "Scream", after the cult horror flick.

Again, not processed, straight form the drone jpegs.

Thank you for stopping by!

It is, very much so. According to commons lore, it’s all from Jurassic period, various sediments layers in what used to be a Navajo sea.

Mars is right. When I first saw it many years ago that was my first thought as well.

Yeah, it’s a quite remote wildernesses, 4x4 type of thing.
Not sure about the f-stop, but most likely f2.8.

To be honest, I don’t think they exist anywhere else. This whole area is such a geological oddity.

I hear you. I normally do this kind of trips twice a year, but because of the covid didn’t do anything for 18 months. Talk about cabin fever… So, just trying to catch up…

I know.
Here is another one for you:

See the seashell imprint? This is on TOP of the Grand Canyon, looking down at the Colorado river almost a whole mile down below. It’s about 70 miles from where the OP is, so basically same geological location.

It sure did.    Some of the telescopes on the market are not even worth using due to the inferior lenses.

Tru dat. OTOH, some drone manufacturers think it’s OK to use inferior software and firmware
