I really like my Skydio 2+ and so far nothing beats it for sports tracking.
I was really impressed how smooth the tracking was with the Mini 3 in DC Rainmakers video. The skydio never lost the subject but was diving in and out of trees like a dare devil. The Mini 3 seemed a lot more cinematic but lose connection a couple of times. Probably the best tracking I have seen on any DJI Drone.

I guess it all depends on what you are tracking. For sports tracking like motocross or gokart racing the Skydio 2+ is a beast. If Skydio 2+ had the camera that DJI uses it would be even more unbeatable. Don't get me wrong I like my DJI drones but have to be honest about which drone does sport tracking the best.

Agreed! A slow plod on a bush walk, perfect! but not so much a mountain bike through the same trail.

In the scheme of things videos tracking from above by drone are almost always used as B-Roll video or snippets. So the important thing is to know the limits of your drone in tracking and figure if it will or can make the shot. 10/20 second clips make big impacts. For long selfies POI with your wife on the beach ;+) and keep it to yourself.

Lol please don't tell my wife about the long selfie tracks on the beach or she will think they are a thing and I will have to start doing them and not use the drone to take landscape photos :-)
