Hey everyone, that new Mini 3 Pro smart controller sure looks great. I wonder if it will also work with my Mavic 3? Sorry if this question has been asked to death. It would be great if it would be compatible with the M3.

Not currently.  At launch it only supports the mini3 and theres been no word from DJI if that will change.

It will be interesting to see what happens,   Im pretty confident the RC Pro will get updated to support the mini 3 after enough time has passed,   but as the cut down controller only has 8gb of internal storage Im not convinced it will be expanded beyond the usual fly app updates.

Thanks, DJI Stephen. That will make the Mini 3 Pro less desirable for me with that price point.  

The controller should be made compatible with the mini 2, Air2 Air2s and even Mavic 3. If not I will not buy the mini3 as others have posted.  It's just another future paper weight.

Its already set to release with Mavic 3 package in China. I hope the RC pro works with mini3 ;+)

To be honest:
I would be happy if I could also use the RC Pro for the Mini 3 Pro because it has a few more functions...
I also think that the radio connection will be better because the Yagi antennas can also be plugged in...
Slightly higher brightness is also very "pleasant" especially in bright sunlight...
I really hope that the RC Pro will be compatible soon. Then I'll probably sell the DJI RC. One or the other might need it...

If the RC pro isn’t made compatible then I won’t be buying this drone.  It’s a shame considering the controllerless package option.

So first off, Yes I was wrong and I was surprised to see this morning a notification on my Dji store that it was available for sale and that it was compatible with the Mavic 3 but second, how long have you been waiting to say that cause I said that more than two weeks ago I mean the past is the past man.

I wasn’t waiting any length of time, I think previous to my posting the photo showing Mavic 3 capable showed up when I was updating. I posted it simply because you were so sure it would never be compatible. And never gave any reason why. It was really that simple.

Well I’m personally sorry for not giving any reason it was just my opinion but to be fair Gary Doug said likewise by saying I suspect it will never my compatible with Mavic 3.

As of the last update the answer is yes, but would I personally use it for my M3? for me it's a no for now.
