I would like to know if any one tested the new DJI RC that comes with Mini 3 PRO with the Air 2S. Will it work?

It was stated in another thread by a DJI Mod that it is only compatible with the Mini 3 at this time.  Hopefully, a future firmware update will make it compatible with other DJI drones.

I may consider buy the Mini 3 PRO if they make the DJI RC compatible with other drones, specially the Air 2S. Fingers crossed for a firmware update.

About 2 months back I bought the Air 2S Fly More Combo and it came with the RC Pro Controller in the bundle.  The Air 2S drone is an extremely capable drone.  I did just order the Mini 3 Pro as I wanted a little lighter and smaller for traveling, hikes, etc.  But I'm not getting rid of the Air 2S.

The same for me, i want to keep my Air 2S but want a lighter drone so i can fly anywhere. The DJI RC is what will make my decision, if they issue a firmware that makes Air 2S compatible.

Ironically if the RC Pro was updated to support the Mini3 at launch I would have bought that at the same time, so DJI are missing out on a big sale from me.

If it's like the RC Pro, it took them 2 or 3 months before the Air 2s became compatible.

Yeah, that was a bit of a wait but at least they finally made the RC Pro compatible with the Air 2S.  

There was a leak today I hear that the RC that comes with the Mini 3 will be sold with the Mavic 3.  My guess is now that they can make a base model of the RC for retail of about $300, why not offer it to all the existing drone lines as an option.  The high end ones are nice, but probably dont sell that many because it's so expensive.  If DJI was smart they would allow anyone to buy the new RC for 300 to squeezes a little more upselling from existing Air 2S owners.  $1,000 for an RC is just way too much money for a product that cost around 1,000.  But 300 not that bad.

Anything more than that and as a customer, it makes more sense to buy a better drone.  The RC is an accessory at the end of the day, not the star of the show.

They could use a similar product packaging structure to the Apple Watch? The watch is packaged separately to the bands. That way it can be bundled together but sold at different price points depending on the combination.

looking forward for them to make Air 2S compatible with the RC that comes with Mini 3, it'll be cheaper version to the RC Pro.

Any news? Did someone try to connect the DJI RC to a Air2(s)? Maybe there is someone who has both drones?

The latest firmware for the RC added support for Mavic 3. Hopefully Air 2S is next in line.

Looking forward for the new update! Then it's time to get a the new RC controller for my air2s

Not yet for sure but I'm fairly confident that DJI will make it compatible before too long.

I was considering bying the new remote to use it with DJI Air 2s, I hope it will be compatible soon.

I ordered the RC separately hoping it will be compatible soon. I'm pretty sure Air 2s will be next, but when.

Hello all!  I think we will see the DJI RC compatible with the Air 2S and other drones shortly.  This is all just good marketing.  Right now the Air 2S and other drones are compatible with the more expensive Pro controller and DJI has been waiting to see how many Air 2S owners they could get to buy the more expensive controller before they make it compatible with the less expensive controller.  Once the sales on the Pro controller dip to the point where most that wanted a smart controller and could not wait have bought it they will make it compatible.  There is no reason not too, not only will they see a surge in buying from Air 2S owners they will likely see a surge in sales for the Mini Pro 3 as long time Air 2S owners opt to buy a new drone with a controller that is compatible with both.  Just a matter of time I think.  

I just bought the Mini 3 (impulse buy) with RC (screen controller) thinking I could use the RC with my Mavic Air 2 (not S) and nope. The RC controller still only lists 3 models. Kinda bummed. I was hoping to downsize from the dinosaur Mavic Air 2 remote while keeping my phone in my pocket and use it on both the Mini 3 and Mavic Air 2. I highly doubt there is a hardware difference in the controllers and believe DJI is marketing differently. (Like Apple does

And yet that is exactly what happened!  Why else would DJI have waited to make RC compatible with the AIr 2S.  They could have made it compatible DAY 1 but they chose not to.  Sorry but this was clearly so they could squeeze every dollar out of the AIR 2S only being compatible with the way more expensive PRO controller. During the time the RC was out but not compatible with the Air 2S how many people do you think opted to go with the PRO RC because there was no other option available.  I myself almost bought the PRO controller before I started hearing the rumors of RC compatibility.   This was definitely a smart marketing move by DJI.  Is so obvious this is what they were doing is scary!!
