Got my drone yesterday! Super pumped! I have a question though!


On both the RC and drone, it is not physically possible to insert/eject the micro SD card with my actual fingers and I don't grow out my fingernails for this specific purpose. So far, I've used a bobby pin. What are your hot tips?

I use another memory card in order to insert and take out the card from drone and RC...
I don't think I will ever leave my nails to grow so long only for DJI  )))))))

I dont normally have an issue with memory cards as i have nails, but using another memory card is a good idea as is buying some spare Samsung sim card release pins

This is a flaw in the design that looks like being a pain. I guess I'd use a second SD card to coax out the inserted one.

I have found the GoPro Hero 10 Black to be worse, even removing the battery does not make it possible.

That's actually brilliant.

Yep. same issue,  I made a little eject tool (https://forum.dji.com/thread-265115-1-1.html) but the corner of a credit card work OK.

You are 100% right about the GoPro SD card slot.  What a poor design.

You could use the edge of a credit card.

Lightweight inexpensive and if you pull an open leg out to 90 deg you can also use it as a sim tray release or reset pin.

Can buy a whole box for the price of a fancy branded name sim /micro sd card tool and just stick a couple in each of your bags and jacket pockets.

Short finger nails, flesh sticks out past nail, but I still use finger nail to eject microSD cards.

wooden tooth pick for the win, don't want to use anything metal that could scratch the controller...

I must be lucky as the micro SD sits flush with the surface on my M3P, so can just use a finger nail.

Yeah, really annoying design decision…almost impossible to remove without a tool of some sorts or extra long fingernail…

Use the corner edge of a credit card.

i Use an iPhone sim eject pin.

Just plug in your Mini. 3pro into your device lap top etc and download your footage/photo. That way you won’t have to bother with putting SD card in and out all the time.

You also have this option below.

Is pretty dangerous as if you have large files and stays a lot turned on, will be so hot that you can boil an egg on drone.
