I drove 3 hours this morning to meet with a client to work on a sunrise hyperlapse with him and was utterly SHOCKED to learn that the new firmware REMOVES the ability to vary the exposure settings during any type of hyperlapse.
These settings would include ISO, SHUTTER, and APERTURE. For those not familiar with this, if you want to capture a proper hyperlapse during times of day (sunrise / sunset) when the light is continously changing, you need the ability to vary exposure manually. This is also called "holy grail" type time lapses.
Anyways, this is extremely disappointing and I need to find a way to revert back to the old firmware, as this prevents me from doing most of the work I do with this drone.
CONCLUSION: The new Mavic 3 firmware removes the ability to adjust exposure settings (ISO, F-stop, Shutter) when a hyperlapse is in progress.
I'll also be contacting DJI today and keep everyone posted.
