By default, the DJI software shows the time until the drone is depleted up in the top right corner. It is also possible to click on that timer and be able to see all three timers (until return to home, until emergency landing, until depleted).

It would be nice if we could click on any of these three timers and make that one the default one which is shown in the top right corner. That way I could instantly see the time until return to home is initiated, rather than having to click on the timer every time. What would be even nicer is, that if one timer is up, it would automatically switch to the next. So if I can see the return-to-home time and that one goes to zero, it would jump to the emergency-landing-timer, and after that to the until-depleted timer.

The times shown are not very accurate, let alone constant!  
It is therefore not worth presenting a second-exact time (until any event) as it depends very much on the power consumed (by wind or speed) how long the battery will last...

frankymusik is quite correct, the timers are not all that accurate, the battery state is being constantly re-evaluated to determine a remaining time. I also suspect thsat there are not 3 distinct timers, the times displayed are probably sequential calculations that happen after each flight phase is entered.
