Pretty good for such a small tiny drone.  I want to re-compile with more footages at some point.  Very happy with it when it fly out >700m without any signal drop in an open environment.

Just fantastic. Well filmed. Got a bit home sick here. Used to live 32 years in Kellyville. Love Sydney very much. So much to do there.

Sounds like you have a project in mind.  

Sounds like you got one of the "good" Mini 3 Pros.  Appears that 50% are happy with the range and 50% aren't.  I think those that aren't happy will feel better once a firmware update comes out and fixes that situation.  I just flew min for the first time yesterday but didn't get far as the rain started rolling in so was time for a quick return and land.

I also have range problems like everyone else.  If you are have a direct sight without anything in the way.  You are good.  If you are at a golf course with trees and terrain, sometimes I get 500m start dropping to orange colour, but not a full signal drop out.  Not great.  I was going to test but changing frequency and channel to see if this helps.

Just a quick Q. I will be in NSW later this year (my reason for buying a drone) and Sydney Harbour seems to be a no-no for drone flying. Is there a specific place you need to take off from?

I am assuming you bought a sub 250g drone.  Right?

Ha ha ha... yes, very tempting indeed, as we are so limited here in EU with the M2P unless you have the Mini 2, 3 or 3P. perhaps one day?

I have tried where I set to 5.8 only and do get a bit more range than when I leave it set on Auto. Anyway, hopefully a firmware upgrade will come soon to help everybody out.

Yes, I have the Mini 3. Although, according to this thread, the Mini 3 has been reclassified?

A word of warning David. That was an illegal flight, it is against the CASA rules to fly at night and the harbour is a no fly zone as well. The harbour bridge has a DJI drone detection system installed. I suggest you do not attempt this again.
