I have experienced this exact issue with multiple 4D cameras. In each case I have confirmed the firmware is up to date, the batteries are fully charged and there has been no damage to any component. Three different cameras from three totally separate owners. Since it has been happening I have been trying to determine if there is any particular circumstances when it happens. In my experience it is when I have been constantly recording for an extended period of time. Most recently, it happened when in the middle of shooting actors in a moving car over the course of an hour. We were shooting 3 angle coverage. The first two angles went perfectly. Then on the third shot of the sequence, about 45 minutes into constant running ,3 batteries did the exact same thing within minutes of one another. These were all fresh, fully charged batteries. All displayed the same "Low battery, powering off.." message. We had to wrap and move on. I love this camera (when it works) and am trying to promote shooting with it exclusively on projects. But this issue does not make the 4D look very professional. On this past project. I turned the camera off completely and left it alone for about 30 minutes. Turned it back on and everything was fine with all the batteries, the ones that had been saying "Low battery, powering down.." only minutes before. DJI, please listen to us. This is a real thing that needs to be fixed. The legitimacy of this product is at risk. |
