Forgive the very basic question... but when I manually download the MP4s from the Mini 3 via a cable to my computer (Macbook Pro), it can't open the video files. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there some unique encoding of the files or something?

Also, what is an SRT file??

Are you using 264 or 265 I had this issue on my ipad pro but I switched to using mov & 265 encoding.

I think I was using 264 MP4 (which shouldn't be a problem to read on a macbook)

Subtitles. You have that enabled so it saves flight data as a subtitle file to view over the footage. Disable it if you don't need it.
