Luckily we only get 2 hot days here in SE.
Today and tomorrow.
After that the temp seems to be going down to 'normal' numbers again.

In thinking about it,  I think it feels a long way because Im thinking of how our roads work here,   for example I wouldn't dream of driving to Scotland 700km but the same distance to the south of France would be fine as those EU roads tend to be so much better than ours.
