I now have 20 flights on my batts. My question is would it be ok to wait and run them down to 8% sometime next week because im going out of town friday and it going to rain tomorrow. So I dont want to take a chance of runing them down recharging and not being able to discharge them. Thanks.

That won't be any problem. The 20 is recommended but not a magical number. Do it when you can and you'll be ok.
